Quail In French Bread Boats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    quail
    1 loaf French bread
    salt and pepper
    flour
    cornstarch
    butter
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
    1 small can mushrooms
Preparation
    Sprinkle quail with salt and pepper and flour inside and out. Brown on all sides in butter in hot cast-iron pan.
    Add water, mushrooms and flakes.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Thicken with cornstarch.
