Meatball Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3 slices bread
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    3 Tbsp. grated onion
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. hot shortening
    flour
    2 c. tomato juice
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. chopped carrots
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Soften bread in milk.
    Add egg.
    Mix rest.
    Make 18 balls. Roll in flour.
    Brown in hot shortening; drain.
    Add tomato juice, water, carrots, celery, Worcestershire sauce and salt.
    Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
    Serve with rice, potatoes or noodles. Serves 6.
