Cream Pie With Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. cornstarch
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    2 eggs, separated, reserve whites
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch and sugar together in medium saucepan.
    Add milk to cornstarch and sugar mixture; then add beaten egg yolks and mix together.
    Place on stove over medium heat.
    Stir constantly.
    Mixture will thicken.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and stir to combine.
    Pour into baked 8-inch pie shell.
