Long Lasting Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. grated cabbage
    bell pepper (medium), chopped
    medium onion, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring bell pepper, onion, sugar, vinegar, Crisco and salt to a boil.
    Then pour over the grated cabbage.
    If you like, you can grate 2 large carrots with cabbage.
    This gives color and adds taste. This will keep in the refrigerator for two weeks.
