Butterscotch Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. syrup
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. butter
    4 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Melt butter in pan.
    Add other ingredients.
    Stir until sugar dissolves.
    Boil until it tests brittle when dropped in cold water.
    Pour onto buttered platter.
    Break into pieces when cool. (Can also drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.)
