Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 clove chopped garlic
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    8 oz. tomato sauce
    2 to 3 c. chopped tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    dash of Tabasco sauce
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1 lb. raw cleaned shrimp
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 to 1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Cook onion, bell pepper, celery and garlic in hot oil until tender.
    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and all seasonings.
    Simmer, uncovered, 45 minutes.
    Mix cornstarch with 2 teaspoons water and use to thicken sauce.
    Add shrimp last and simmer, covered, until shrimp is cooked (about 5 minutes).
    Serve over hot rice.
    Serves 5 to 6 persons.
