Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. raisins (optional)
    1 heaping Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. warm water
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Put molasses, water, salt, spices and raisins in saucepan. Bring to boil; cook 3 minutes.
    Add shortening; let cool.
    Add baking soda dissolved in warm water.
    Add flour, baking powder and nuts.
    Stir to mix well.
    Pour into greased square or loaf pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    No egg, no sugar and little shortening.
