Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 qt. milk
    3 egg yolks
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Boil rice, salt, 1/2 cup sugar and milk in double boiler until rice is tender.
    Add egg yolks and boil 5 minutes more.
    Put in casserole and add beaten egg whites sweetened with 6 tablespoons of sugar on top.
    Brown in oven.
