Hummingbird Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. oil
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. diced bananas
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans or other nuts
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained (reserve the juice)
Preparation

Cream together the sugar and oil; add the eggs.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.
Blend into the oil mixture alternately with the bananas and pineapple.
Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 50 minutes.
Nuts are optional and may be blended in after mixing the rest of the ingredients.
