Broccoli Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 chopped onion
    1 (10 oz.) can chicken broth
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. hot water
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 Tbsp. garlic salt
    1 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
Preparation
    In a pot, cook onion in butter until tender.
    Blend in flour and seasonings.
    Add milk, stirring constantly; cook slowly until thick.
    Add cheese; cook until melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Add chicken broth and hot water.
    Blend in broccoli; cook until heated.
    Garnish with red pepper flakes.
