Homemade Pizza Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. salt
    1 pkg. dry active yeast
    3 to 4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Combine water, shortening and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir until shortening is
    melted.
    Let cool to lukewarm (105\u00b0 to 115\u00b0).
    Sprinkle yeast over mixture.
    Stir until dissolved. Gradually add flour, mixing well after each addition.
    Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface.
    Knead until smooth and elastic (about 5 minutes).
    Shape into a ball.
    Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
    Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
    Punch down and divide in half.
    Lightly grease hands and put dough evenly into 2 (12-inch) pizza pans.
    Makes 2 pizza crusts.
