Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar (1 lb.)
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Melt shortening in a large saucepan.
    Add sugar and blend well.
    Cool 10 minutes.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Add dry ingredients and vanilla; mix well.
    Add nuts and chocolate chips.
    Spread evenly into a well-greased 10 x 15-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
