Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. scalded milk
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; pour into 9-inch pastry.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Bake in very hot oven, 450\u00b0, for 10 minutes.
    Reduce temperature to 325\u00b0 and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
