Nut Cake(From 1975 Edition) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Grease tube or Bundt pan and dust with flour.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Beat butter to cream it; beat in sugar (gradually).
    Add egg yolks, one at a time.
    Beat until thick and light.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to butter mixture alternately with milk; blend well.
    Stir in nuts and vanilla.
    Beat egg whites until light, not dry.
    Fold in; do not beat again.
    Bake about 1 hour.
