Tex-Mex Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 c. self-rising yellow corn meal mix
    1 c. (8 1/2 oz.) cream-style corn
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 c. (4 oz.) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 Tbsp. chopped jalapeno pepper
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Grease an 8-inch square baking pan. Combine all ingredients in order listed; blend well.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
    Makes about 9 servings.
