Eleanor'S Apple Nut Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    3 c. diced apples (do not peel)
Preparation
    Break eggs into mixing bowl and beat until foamy.
    Add sugar and beat until thick and lemon colored.
    Add vanilla.
    Mix flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon and blend in mixture.
    Fold in apples and nuts.
    Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cut into squares and serve with whipped topping, whipped cream or ice cream.
    Top with maraschino cherry.
