Maple Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. maple syrup
    1 egg white
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Boil the syrup without stirring until it reaches 260\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Remove the syrup from the heat.
    Beat the egg white and salt until it forms very stiff peaks.
    Slowly pour the syrup over the egg white while beating the mixture at the highest speed of an electric mixer.
    Continue beating until the mixture forms soft peaks.
    Stir in the nuts.
    Drop by teaspoons on waxed paper.
