Chicken A La King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. butter
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. chicken stock
    1 c. milk
    1 c. cut-up stewed chicken (chicken breasts)
    1 c. sauteed sliced mushrooms
    1/4 c. slivered green pepper (optional)
    1/4 c. slivered pimento
    1/2 c. green frozen peas, thawed
Preparation
    Melt butter; blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook over a low heat until smooth and bubbly.
    Remove from heat, stir in stock and milk.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Stir in gently balance of ingredients.
    Serve on buttered rice, noodles or toast.
