Make Ahead Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head iceberg lettuce, torn
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    8 oz. (1 can) sliced water chestnuts (drained)
    10 oz. (1 pkg.) peas (frozen), thawed
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. Parmesan cheese, shredded
    4 strips bacon, cooked
Preparation
    In a 6-quart bowl, layer half of the lettuce, onion, celery, green pepper, water chestnuts and peas.
