Superb Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 c. boiling water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 tsp. salt
    4 eggs, separated
    cold water to thin, if necessary
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients, add shortening and boiling water. Mix thoroughly and let cool while whipping the eggs.
    Whip the yolks; then whip the whites until stiff.
    Fold yolks into whites, then into dry ingredients.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 until brown.
