Dessert Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small pkg. lemon jello
    1 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 small can crushed pineapple (undrained)
    1 large (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
    1 large container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Dissolve jello and sugar in boiling water.
    Cool until slightly thickened.
    Beat the cream cheese.
    Add jello and Cool Whip; beat until thoroughly mixed.
    Fold in nuts, cherries and pineapple.
    Refrigerate until set, 4 hours or overnight.
