Sweetheart Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. water
6 oz. cream cheese
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. maraschino cherry juice
1 c. whipping cream
12 maraschino cherries
Preparation

Dissolve gelatin in cold water.
Add pineapple to sugar and bring to boil.
Add gelatin.
Stir until gelatin dissolves.
Then add juices and let cool.
Mash cream cheese and cherries.
Combine with pineapple mixture, adding a small amount at a time.
Chill until slightly thickened.
Whip cream and blend into salad.
