Jiffy Chow Mein - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 c. chopped celery
    16 oz. can bean sprouts
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain off fat.
    Add onion, celery and 1 cup water. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Add bean sprouts.
    Combine soy sauce, sugar, water and cornstarch and add to meat.
    Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened.
    Serve over Chinese noodles or rice, if desired.
    Serves 6 amply.
