Lemon Herb Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. marjoram
1/2 tsp. celery salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. lemon juice
1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
1/3 c. flour
3 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
Preparation

Combine thyme, marjoram, celery salt, pepper and lemon juice. Sprinkle over chicken.
Roll chicken in flour.
Slowly brown chicken pieces in melted shortening, about 15 minutes.
Reduce heat; cover and cook 30 to 40 minutes until tender.
Garnish with slices of lemon.
Makes 4 servings.
