Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. River rice
    1/2 gal. plus 2 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 pt. medium cream
    pinch of salt
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Pour milk in pan, add salt and rice (washed).
    Bring to boil, lower heat and cook for 2 hours, stirring often.
    Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla.
    Add some cooked rice to egg mixture.
    Mix well. Pour into remainder of rice, mix well and add medium cream.
    Put in oblong pan, top with cinnamon.
