Red Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon, cut in pieces
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. rice
    1 tsp. dried basil
    2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
    1 tsp. salted
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 can water
Preparation
    Fry bacon until almost brown; add onion and sauce.
    Add rice and coat it with the fat.
    Mix tomato sauce, water and
    spices. Pour over rice mixture.
    Bring to a boil for 3 minutes.
    Cover and simmer until done, 30 to 45 minutes.
