Pineapple Bran Bread - cooking recipe

2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. pineapple juice
2/3 c. bran
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1/2 c. crushed pineapple
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Pour pineapple juice over bran and let stand 15 minutes.
Add nuts, pineapple, egg and shortening.
Add sifted dry ingredients.
Mix until blended.
