Ingredients

3 large bananas
3/4 box vanilla wafers
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 c. boiling water
1/2 large can evaporated milk
Preparation

Place sliced bananas and wafers alternately in dish or pan. Simmer sugar and water about 10 minutes.
Separate egg yolks and whites.
Beat cream and egg yolks together.
Pour the boiling water and sugar over them.
Pour this over the wafers and bananas. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar for each egg white.
Beat until stiff. Place the meringue over the pudding and brown in a moderate oven. Cool and serve.
