Big Affair Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    2 c. strong black tea
    2 c. lemon juice
    2 1/2 c. orange juice
    2 (No. 2) cans pineapple juice
    12 oz. maraschino cherries (with juice)
    3 gal. water
    2 qt. dry ginger ale
Preparation
    Boil the sugar and water for 10 minutes.
    Chill syrup and juices 2 to 3 hours.
    Strain, if desired. Add cherries and juice, water and ginger ale. Pour over block of ice in punch bowl.
    Makes 75 servings.
