Sour Cream Date Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. dates
1/2 c. walnuts or pecans
1/2 c. shortening, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda

Preparation

Cut dates and chop nuts coarsely.
Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add egg and beat well.
Blend in sour cream and orange rind.
