Cinnamon Twists - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sour cream or sweet milk
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 large egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. yeast
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Bring the cream or milk to a boil.
    Remove from heat; add shortening, sugar, soda and salt and mix well.
    Cool to lukewarm and add egg and yeast (dissolved in a little warm water).
    Stir the mix into the flour and knead the dough a little.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Roll and spread with melted butter; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
    Roll in a long roll and slice.
    Put rolls in cake pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    When cool, ice with favorite icing.
