Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3 large onions (about 3 1/2-inches diameter, sliced)
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1/2 c. regular rice, uncooked
    1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In large skillet, cook and stir ground beef until light brown; drain off fat.
    Add onions and green pepper; cook and stir until onion is tender.
    Stir in tomatoes, rice, chili powder, salt and pepper; heat thoroughly.
    Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
    Cover; bake 1 hour.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
