Chris' Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. milk
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook
all the ingredients, except the vanilla, to the soft ball stage, or 235\u00b0.
Remove from heat; add vanilla and pour into a buttered 8-inch pan.
When cold, turn out and cut into squares. Wrap each square individually in wax paper or plastic wrap.
For chocolate caramels, use 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 3 squares chocolate.
