Almond Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. uncooked regular rice
    1 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1 c. sliced mushrooms, fresh or canned
    3/4 c. slivered almonds
    3/4 c. chopped green onions with tops
    2 2/3 c. chicken broth or 2 3/4 c. for softer rice
Preparation
    Melt margarine.
    Stir in rice, mushrooms, seasoning and green onions. Cook and
    stir
    over
    medium
    heat\tfor about 10 minutes or until tender.
    Spoon
    into
    greased shallow 2 quart casserole. Cover and chill
    until
    ready to bake.
    (This part can be done a day ahead.) Heat oven to 325\u00b0. Stir in broth and almonds. Cover and bake for
    1 hour.
    Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
