Potato Pancakes(Latkahs) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    1 medium onion
    2 beaten eggs
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. flour (or matza meal)
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    vegetable oil for frying
Preparation
    Grate potatoes into bowl.
    Drain liquid and grate in the onion.
    Add eggs and seasonings.
    Mix in dry ingredients until batter is smooth but heavy . Using a large frying pan, drop by tablespoon into hot oil.
    Fry on both sides until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels and keep hot in warm oven.
    Serve with sour cream, cottage cheese and/or applesauce.
