Gramma Guerieri'S Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    bacon grease
    1 minced onion
    3 (or more) garlic cloves, minced
    2 small cans tomato paste
    1 tomato paste can water
    1 large can whole tomatoes
    salt
    basil
    parsley
    pinch of sugar
Preparation
    Saute garlic and onion in bacon grease.
    Add tomato paste and stir while cooking, about 2 minutes.
    Add rest of ingredients. Simmer 2 to 3 hours.
    May brown 1 pound of ground chuck, sausages, meatballs or pork chops and add to sauce the last 30 minutes of cooking.
    Makes enough for 1 pound of pasta.
