Cooley'S Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. diced, cooked chicken
    1 c. diced celery or broccoli spears
    2 c. cooked rice
    1 Tbsp. onion (or more)
    2 cans cream of chicken soup
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise (or more)
    2 cans water chestnuts, sliced
    1 c. slivered almonds
    2 c. crushed cornflakes
    4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix together chicken, celery, rice, onion, cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, water chestnuts and almonds.
    Place mixture into greased 9 x 13-inch casserole; mix together cornflake crumbs and butter.
    Sprinkle mixture over top.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until bubbly, 20 to 30 minutes.
    Casserole can also be divided and frozen.
