Corn Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sifted flour
1 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. melted shortening
1 c. milk
4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Mix egg, shortening and milk together thoroughly.
Combine mixture, stirring just enough to dampen flour.
Fill greased muffin pan 2/3 full.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Makes 12.
