Macaroni-Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
    1 lb. bulk pork sausage
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. green pepper strips
    2 Tbsp. fat
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cook macaroni in 3-quart boiling salted water for 7 to 8 minutes.
    Drain well.
    Brown sausage; remove and reserve 1/2 of the sausage.
    Saute onion and green pepper in fat.
    Stir in flour and salt.
    Slowly add milk.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring, until thick.
    Stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese.
