Prune Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs
1 1/2 c. Crisco, melted
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. chopped prunes, stewed and mashed
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
2 c. flour
1 c. mashed potatoes (optional)
Preparation

Combine all ingredients, blending well.
Pour batter into three greased and floured 8-inch layer pans.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Frost with frosting recipe following.
