Shirley'S Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg yolks
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/8 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar and add 1/2 cup milk and mix well.
    Beat egg yolks separately, then add to mixture.
    Add remaining milk, butter, and vanilla.
    Cook until thick (stir constantly).
    Set aside.
    Pour 1/2 cup sugar into small iron skillet and brown slowly.
    Mix well into other mixture.
    Pour into cooked pie shell; add meringue and brown.
