Parker House Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cake yeast
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    4 c. flour
    1/3 c. shortening
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water; add sugar, salt, shortening and lightly beaten egg.
    Fold in flour.
    Roll out dough and cut out large size biscuits, folding them in half with patty of butter between fold.
    Let rise 2 hours; then bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown.
