Empanadas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 can (14 1/2 oz.) tomatoes, undrained
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cumin
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 refrigerated folded pie crusts
    1 egg yolk
    1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Cook beef, onion and green pepper about 5 minutes in skillet; drain.
    Stir in tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes.
    Place 1 unfolded pie crust at one end of cookie sheet, greased.
    Place 1/2 of beef mixture on half of pastry round.
    Leaving 1-inch border; press edges together to seal and brush pastry with yolk mixture. Repeat with remaining crust at other end of cookie sheet.
    Bake preheated at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Cut in half.
    Makes 4 servings.
