Frozen Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. unwaxed cucumbers (4 c. packed) sliced thin
    3/4 lb. yellow onions (2 c. packed) sliced thin
    4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. dried dill or sprig of fresh dill
Preparation
    Mix cucumber, onion, salt and water in large bowl and let stand 2 hours.
    Drain.
    Return vegetables to bowl.\tAdd sugar, vinegar and dill.
    Let stand, stir until sugar dissolves and covers vegetables.\tPack in Ziploc Freezer bags and freeze.
    Serve thawed but ice cold.
    Yield 1 quart.
