Peanut Butter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted regular flour
    2 tsp. double acting baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    2/3 c. peanut butter
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Sift together into a bowl the first 4 ingredients.
    Add shortening and peanut butter.
    Blend with a pastry blender or two knifes until mixture looks like coarse corn meal.
    Combine and add milk and eggs.
    Mix just until blended. Spoon into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan and cool on wire rack before serving.
    Makes 1 loaf.
