Southern Fried Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 c. Crisco oil
    3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/5 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saut onion in Crisco oil in heavy 10-inch cast-iron skillet until transparent.\tAdd potatoes.
    Fry potatoes until they are tender and golden, turning as necessary.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Makes 4 servings.
