Ingredients

2 1/2 c. fresh strawberries, sliced
sugar
1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. cold water
2 c. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Preparation

Sweeten sliced strawberries to taste; set aside.
Soften gelatin in cold water; dissolve over hot water.
Whip cream until foamy.
Add dissolved gelatin slowly, continuing to whip.
Add vanilla; whip until stiff.
Drain juice from strawberries; fold berries into whipped cream.
Spoon into pie shell.
Chill. Garnish with whole strawberries, if desired.
