Angela'S Favorite White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted cake flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. Crisco
    2 tsp. almond extract
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. milk
    5 egg whites
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cream together Crisco and almond extract.
    Gradually add 1 1/3 cups sugar to shortening and extract.
    Cream well.
    Add milk alternating with dry ingredients (start and end with flour).
    Beat the 5 egg whites and 1/3 cup sugar until peaks form.
    Fold into mixture.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes for sheet cake.
