Southern Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
ice water
8 to 10 fresh peaches
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar plus 2 Tbsp.
Preparation

Cut shortening into flour, salt and 1 tablespoon sugar with pastry blender.
Add just enough ice water to hold dough together. Roll out on floured board to about 1/8-inch thick.
Line the sides and bottom of a 2 to 2 1/2-quart baking dish with crust.
Flute edges of sides.
Cut remaining dough into 1 x 1 1/2-inch pieces. Set aside.
