Pepper Steak(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef (sirloin or round)
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 medium onion
    1 large bell pepper
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    fluffy rice
Preparation
    Cut steak into small cubes.
    Brown in shortening about 10 minutes, or until tender.
    Add soy sauce and water; simmer for 10 minutes.
    Add onion and bell pepper, which have been cut into strips.
    Cook until tender.
    Thicken with cornstarch.
    Serve over steamed rice.
